As investors prepared for weaker crude oil demand from China and the U.S., crude prices took a 1% drop on Monday, leaving Oklahoma energy prices in a mix.
Demand in the U.S. is expected to fall because the end of the summer driving season is only a few weeks away.
The drop came after six straight weekly gains as West Texas Intermediate crude finished down 88 cents or 1.06% at $81.94 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude slipped 90 cents or 1.04% to $85.34 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
September natural gas rose 15 cents to $2.73 per 1,000 cubic feet.
As for the Oklahoma energy stocks, some rose and some fell.
Other energy stocks were just as mixed for the day, according to the Texas Energy Report.
