Crude oil finished the week on Friday with a 1% gain on the day, despite signs of a slowing U.S. output and a 6th straight week of declines in American rig counts. The gains were made on growing worries about global demand growth.

US benchmark, West Texas Intermediate crude gained 86 days or 1.1% and settled at $81.25 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, finished up 68 cents or 0.8% to close at $84.80 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
