Camino Natural Resources pushes forward on Oklahoma exploration

Newly filed completion reports show Camino Natural Resources LLC with two wells on a single pad in Grady County producing nearly 900 barrels of oil a day. Camino is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

The two wells, located about a mile east of Chickasha at 36 7N 7W were completed in May and had production out of the Springer and Woodford formations.

The Shockey 0707 36-1-2umxh, with a drilled depth of 20,095 feet in the Springer formation, was the larger of the two with production of 796 barrels of oil a day and 2,944 Mcf of natural gas. Spud in December 2022, the true vertical depth was 13,878 feet according to the completion report.

The second well, the Golden Driller 0707 25-24-1wxh, drilled on the same pad at a depth of 25,443 feet in the Woodford formation, produced 63 barrels of oil a day and 1,284 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed the true vertical depth was 14,314 feet and the well was spud in October of 2022.

The combined production totaled 859 barrels of oil a day.

The wells are examples of Camino’s devotion to the SCOOP and Merge plays in Oklahoma. The independent oil and natural gas company reportedly has more than 100,000 net acres in the two regions of the state.
