It isn’t everyday a large producing oil well is reported in Oklahoma’s Johnston County, but California-based Bnk Petroleum Inc. filed a completion report this week on a well with 820 barrels of oil a day in production.
The Brock 9-3h also had 586 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 14,883 feet in the Caney formation when it was completed in November of last year.
Its true vertical depth was 8,231 feet following a July 2022 spud. The well is located at 9 4S 4E, a site about 2 miles north of the town of Mannsville.
While BNK Petroleum is listed as the driller, the company headquartered in Newbury Park, California is now named Kolibri Global Energy Inc. and owns and operates a focused oil property concentrated in the Southern SCOOP play.
