While the Biden administration’s green energy plans have drawn criticism from conservative members of Congress, the $390 billion targeted over 10 years for renewable energy will likely help some cities where the wind energy industry suffered.

Two such sites were Siemens Gamesa wind farm manufacturing plants in Hutchinson, Kansas and Lee County, Iowa. The company is anticipating a resurgence in wind turbine manufacturing according to a report by Canary Media.

Other projects benefitting from the billions of dollars in green energy funding were a wind-tower production facility in Belen, New Mexico, a manufacturing plant for offshore wind parts in coastal New York, and a massive expansion project by the Chinese firm CS Wind in Pueblo, Colorado.
