Water Resources Center promotes new monthly water seminar series

The Oklahoma Water Resources Center is planning a NEW monthly water seminar series called “Water You Talking About?”

These monthly water seminars will take place on the third Thursday of every month from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Each month we will feature a new researcher or water professional to share their research, discuss research needs, and identify opportunities for collaboration.

This format will enable new interactions not only among researchers, but between researchers and state and federal water agency personnel. This will provide new opportunities for new collaborations or avenues on furthering research, and also enhance opportunities for disseminating research to those applying it.

Each semester we plan to host an in-person social event after the seminar for attendees to network. Speakers will include university faculty as well as water professionals from active organizations across the state. After each presentation there will be built in time for questions and answers with audience members.

These seminars will be hybrid, allowing for both in-person interactions as well as participation by those interested but not located in Stillwater to participate. Further, these seminars will be recorded and placed on our YouTube channel for further outreach.
