Pipeline Industry in Texas has $61 billion impact on state

First non-Texas oil & gas pipelines aimed at Corpus Christi

 

A new Texas Tech University study shows the oil and gas pipeline industry had a more than $60 billion economic output in Texas in 2022.

The study was conducted by the University’s Center for Energy Commerce and showed the industry’s economic output in 2022 was $60.5 billion and also provided more than $34 billion in additional gross state product.

The Analysis of the Current and Future Economic Impact of the Texas Oil and Gas Pipeline Industry study also showed the industry provided nearly $3.6 billion in state and local government revenues and more than 234,000 jobs reported The Odessa American.
