McClain County drilling effort proves successful for CPRP Services

Completion reports filed nearly 7 months after some wells were producing in McClain County, show growing exploration efforts by CPRP Services LLC of Oklahoma City.

The company had a two-well effort from a single pad with production of nearly 1,800 barrels of oil a day. A third adjacent well brought the three-well production to more than 2,400 barrels of oil a day.

The Moose 0604 20-4wh, located at 20 6N 4W or a few miles south of the town of Dibble, produced 811 barrels of oil a day and 1,215 Mcf of natural gas from from the Woodford formation. Drilled depth was 16,777 feet while the true vertical depth, according to the completion report, was 11,347 feet. The well was spud in August 2022 an d completed Dec. 27, 2022.

The second well drilled on the same pad, the Moose Fed 0604 20-29-2wxh, was completed in January of 2023 with production of 946 barrels of oil a day and 1,370 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 21,948 feet and the completion report showed a true vertical depth of 11,517 feet.

CPRP Services also completed a third McClain County well, the Moose 0604 29-20-5wxh at 29 6N 4W which was in the adjacent section west of the first two Moose wells. It produced 695 barrels of oil a day and 673 Mcf of natural gas, also from the Woodford formation. The completion report showed a drilled depth of 21,142 and a true vertical depth of 11,171 feet.
