Not only multiple wells drilled on a single pad are a success.
A recent three-well single-pad project in Canadian County by Travis Peak Resources LLC of Houston, Texas didn’t produce the results the firm obviously wanted.
The three Von Tungeln wells ended up with combined production of about 72 barrels of oil a day.
Located at 17 12N 8W , a site about 5 miles west of El Reno, the wells were completed April 15 of this year.
The Von Tungeln 17_20-12n-8w 2mhx produced 22.55 barrels of oil a day and 831 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 22,083 feet in the Mississippian formation. The completion report showed the well had been spud in May of 2022 and its true vertical depth was 11,327 feet.
The Von Tungeln 17_20-12n-8w 4whx, with a drilled depth of 22,307 feet in the Woodford formation, produced 38.41 barrels of oil a day and 231 Mcf of natural gas. The completion report showed the well, with a July 2022 spud date, had a true vertical depth of 11,475 feet.
The third well, the Von Tungeln 17_20-12n-8w 3whx, produced only 11.69 barrels of oil a day and 154 Mcf of natural gas from a drilled depth of 22,451 feet in the Woodford. The true vertical depth, according to the completion report, was 11,298 feet. The well was spud in May 2022.
