Friday’s increase in crude oil prices resulted in a weekly gain for TWI and Brent crude, thanks to higher Chinese demand and OPEC+ supply cuts.
West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.16 and finished at $71.78 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude went up 94 cents and closed at $76.61 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
For the week, WTI rose 2.3% and Brent increased by 2.4%.
July natural gas rose 10 cents to $2.63 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Friday’s trading proved to be mixed for Oklahoma energy stocks. As PHX Minerals rose 9%, Matrix Service Co. dropped 6%.
