House failed to override Biden’s solar panel veto

LICA - LICA Leads Charge To Urge Veto Of Anti-Sandmining Legislation

Even though all five Oklahoma Representatives in the U.S. House stood locked in their support of resuming solar power tariffs against China and other Asia manufacturers, it wasn’t enough to override President Biden’s veto of a Congressional review Act.

The House fell short this week of the required two-thirds majority on a 214-205 vote, which means Biden’s veto stands.

Reps. Bice, Brecheen, Cole, Hern and Lucas were among the 214 who attempted to thwart Biden’s veto. His veto came after they and others in the House voted 221-202 on April 28 to repeal a rule in which the Commerce Department ordered a two-year freeze on tariffs for certain solar imports, especially those manufactured by Communist China.
