Crude oil prices dropped more than 1% on Friday while Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains in the day’s training.\
Crude prices dropped for the third consecutive week as each benchmark settled about 1.5% lower for the week.
West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 83 cents or 1.2% to close at $70.04 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished down 81 cents or 1.1% to $74.17on ICE Futures Europe.
Natural gas rose 8 cents or 3.47% to close at $2.27.
Oklahoma energy stocks recorded some gains including a nearly 5% increase for Empire Petroleum and 4% for Gulfport Energy Corp.
