Smart Sand earnings report to be released

Sand supplier Smart Sand, announces 4Q, 2021 results and a acquisition

 

After its revenues for 2022 grew by more than 100%, Texas-based Smart Sand, Inc. awaits financial results for the first quarter of 2023.

With major operations in El Reno, Oklahoma, the company, based in Midland, Texas will release results on Tuesday, May 9 followed by a conference call on Wednesday, May 10 at 9 a.m. Central Time.

Chuck Young, the company’s chief executive officer will be joined by Lee Beckelman, CFO and John Young, COO to discuss the results.

Smart Sand reported fourth quarter 2022 revenue of nearly $74 million while full-year earnings were about $256 million. For the quarter, sand sales totaled 1,175,000 tons while for the year, they were 4,333,000 tons.

CEO Young said at t he time it appeared the strong sales of 2022 were carrying over into the first quarter of 2023. The company planned to move forward with opening a mine and plant in Wisconsin so it could offer the quality proppant sand to the Canadian market.
