Leadership changes announced at Gulfport Energy

Gulfport Energy reports uptick in revenue for 2018 | The Journal Record

 

Changes of corporate officers were announced Monday at Oklahoma City’s Gulfport Energy Corporation.

Michael Hodges was named Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer while William “”Bill” Buese will transition from the CFO role. Buese will serve as an advisor to the Company until May 3, 2023.

John Reinhart, Gulfport’s Chief Executive Officer commented, “We are very pleased to welcome Michael to Gulfport. He brings over 20 years of experience as a seasoned financial leader with deep expertise in the oil and gas industry and we look forward to his future contributions to our organization.”

Hodges joins Gulfport with more than a decade of experience in financial leadership roles for oil and gas companies operating in the Appalachian Basin. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President, Finance and Accounting at Leon Capital Group. Prior to joining Leon Capital, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Montage Resources Corporation until its merger with Southwestern Energy Company in November 2020.

The company also said Matthew Rucker joined the company’s leadership team in early March as Senior Vice President Operations.

He has a decade of operational and resource development leadership experience in the Appalachian Basin. Most recently, . Rucker served as Vice President, Production Operations at Javelin Energy Partners since August 2022. He joined Javelin as Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Javelin, Rucker served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer for Montage Resources Corporation following Montage’s successful business combination with Blue Ridge Mountain Resources in June 2020.
