Keystone pipeline searched for other potential leak sites

Keystone Pipeline operator TC Energy admits it is investigating other possible sites that could potentially be sources of a leak like that big one that occurred last December in northern Kansas.

The company is looking for areas of the pipeline with characteristics similar to the one near Washington, Kansas where 12,000 barrels of crude flowed into Mill Creek resulting in the largest spill in the history of the pipeline reported the Topeka Capital-Journal.

The pipeline carries oil from Canada to the Cushing hub in Oklahoma where it is distributed and eventually moved to Gulf Coast refineries.
