Devon Energy awards grants to nonprofits in central Oklahoma

Devon Energy expands grant program - Oklahoma Energy Today

 

Devon Energy announced it awarded $75,000 in special grants to 11 local nonprofits.

It is the third year of the Inclusion and Equity Grants program in central Oklahoma and is part of the energy company’s commitment to support diverse communities.

“Devon recognizes our differences make us stronger,” said Christina Rehkop, Devon director of community relations. “We are thrilled to support the selected organizations that are strengthening the fabric of our communities.”  

Devon’s employee-led panel reviewed applications and selected the following recipients:  

·         Central OK American Indian Health Council  

·         Freedom City  

·         India Association of Oklahoma 

·         Latino Community Development Agency  

·         Northeast Oklahoma City Renaissance 

·         OKC Pride Alliance  

·         Pearls of SSO 

·         Santa Fe Family Life Center  

·         Sisu  

·         Special Care  

·         Urban Bridge  

Devon expanded the overall program this year, awarding a total of 28 Inclusion and Equity Grants across Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming and North Dakota.
