The proposed merger of the Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern rail lines would mean the shipment of more Canadian oil sands across Oklahoma, if approved by regulators.

The two rail lines have already signed a 10-year deal with ConocoPhillips Canada and USD Group to transport the oil across the U.S. and south to Texas where USD has a terminal reported The Guardian.
