More Blaine County wells reported by Devon Energy and Marathon Oil

Oil producers begin temporary well shut-downs - Albuquerque Journal

 

Devon Energy and Marathon Oil Company continued with more completion reports indicating multiple wells in Blaine County.

Devon filed a completion report Thursday indicating it was the second of a two-well pad drilled in a region south of Watonga. The Cheetah 29_32-15n-10w 5hx, drilled at 20 15N 10W, or about 8 miles southeast of Watonga had production of 830 barrels of oil a day and 8,140 Mcf of natural gas. Drilled depth was 21,800 feet but the true vertical depth was 11,442 feet according to the completion report. Completed in November 2022,the well had been spudded in April of last year.

Combined with the Cheetah 29_32-15n-10w 4hx, drilled at the same pad, production was 1,652 barrels of oil a day and more than 15,000 Mcf of natural gas.

Marathon Oil Company also filed another report indicating it too had a two-well pad at a Blaine County site. The Alta Bia 1511 4-31-30mxh, also located at 30 15N 11W, about six miles due south of Watonga had production of 1,632 barrels of oil a day along with 14,952 Mcf of natural gas in the Mississippi formation. The well, completed in November of 2022, had a drilled depth of 22,346 feet but the true vertical depth was 12,202 feet. The well had a June 2022 spud date according to the completion report.

It was the second such report filed by Marathon on the site. The first well, as reported earlier by OK Energy Today, produced 948 barrels of oil a day and 10,488 Mcf of natural gas. That made a combined production of 2,616 barrels of oil a day while the natural gas production totaled 25,440 Mcf a day.

Paloma Operating Co. Inc. based in Houston filed completion reports on 3 wells, one in Canadian County and two in Grady County.

The Canadian County well, the Roseannadanna 34_27-12n-6w 2mhx, completed in November 2022, produced 195 barrels of oil a day and 397 Mcf of natural gas from the Mississippian formation. Located at 34 12N 6W or 2 miles southwest of Yukon, the well had a June 2022 spud date and a drilled depth of 18,092 feet. The true vertical depth was 8,970 feet according to the completion report.

Two Grady County wells, drilled on the same pad, had combined production of 518 barrels of oil a day along with about 3,000 Mcf of natural gas.

Both are located at 25 10N 7W or about 3 miles east of the town of Minco. The Dumbledore 24_13-10n-7w 3mhx, completed in October of 2022 produced 270 barrels of oil and 1,544 Mcf of natural gas a day. Listed drilled depth was 21,708 feet but the true vertical depth was 10,417 feet according to the Dumbledore 24_13-10n-7w 3mhx, report.

The second well on the pad, the Dumbledore 24_13-10n-7w 2mhx, produced 248 barrels of oil a day and 1,489 Mcf of natural gas. Listed depth was 21,519 in the Mississippi Lime but the vertical depth was 10,519 feet according to the completion report. Both wells were spudded in June of last year.
