The GOP-sponsored bill that won U.S. House approval to limit President Biden’s reduction of the nation’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve also includes amendments to increase oil and gas drilling on Colorado’s Thompson Divide.
The amendments were added by Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert after the Biden administration proposed a 20-year withdrawal of the Divide from new oil and gas leases according to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel.
