Hamm to be honored at Energy Workforce conference in Austin

 

Oilman Harold Hamm will be honored at the April annual meeting of the Energy Workforce and Technology Council to be held in Austin, Texas.

Hamm will receive the Platinum Award given for outstanding leadership in the oil and gas industry. Energy Workforce plans to celebrate Hamm’s dedication to the industry as well as his leadership during more than five decades in oil and gas.

Hamm is best known for being the founder of Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources, Inc., one of the more successful early explorers and use of horizontal drilling in the Bakken play of North Dakota.

The annual meeting of Energy Workforce will be held April 26-27 in Austin and this year’s focus will be on “Answering the Call: Delivering Through Headwinds.”

The meeting will include a lineup of speakers from all sectors of the oil and gas industry. It will also feature a Capital Markets Panel that will focus on capital markets with insights into energy services and technology companies.

The Capital Markets panel will feature Salvador Pareja, Managing Director of Goldman Sachs, Jonathan Regan, Partner of Quantum Energy Partners, and Mike Scott, Managing Partner and Founder of Pelican Energy Partners.
