Colorado oil company threatened by state with loss of right to do business

Colorado oil and gas operator K.P. Kauffman is described as a “violation-plagued” firm and now the state is threatening to yank its ability to do business there unless it pays $1.9 million in fines and cleans up 78 production sites.

The Colorado Sun reports Kauffman’s ability to sell oil and gas has already been suspended but now the state is demanding payment, or else.
