Anadarko basin crude oil production to increase in March

Oil production in the Anadarko and Permian Basins is expected to make gains in the coming month according to a report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The Anadarko Basin’s production was 433,000 barrels of oil a day in February but will increase to 445,000 barrels of oil a day in March predicted the EIA. Natural gas production in the Anadarko will grow from 6,786 million cubic feet a day in February to 6,908 million cubic feet a day in March.

The Permian Basin’s oil production will see an increase from 5,652,000 barrels a day in February to 5,682,000 barrels a day in March. However natural gas production in the Permian is expected to see a decline from 22,112 million cubic feet a day in February to 22,209 million cubic feet a day in March.

The EIA forecasted increases in oil and gas in other formations including the Appalachia, Bakken, Eagle Ford, and Niobrara. Production of oil in the Haynesville will remain unchanged but its output of natural gas is anticipated to increase dramatically.
