Missouri to consider restrictions on ESG investments

Republican Ashcroft won't run for Missouri seat on US Senate | AP News

A Missouri official suggests it is time for Missouri to make sure some investment companies don’t target oil and gas companies.

Fox 2 Now reported Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft wants to make a law forcing investment advisors and brokers to disclose if they are limiting investments to “sustainable” companies that address climate change.

Such a law would be similar to Oklahoma’s which bans discriminating companies from investments with state agencies.
