Legislator targets public utilities to be better prepared for severe winter storms

Oklahoma state Senator Nathan Dahm wants public utilities in Oklahoma to do more to protect their infrastructure from the kind of 2021 winter storm events that led to securitization and increased long-term expenses for consumers.

He’s filed Senate Bill 204 that if approved, would force those utilities to “take strategic action to proactively prepare for future weather events” reported the Stillwater News Press.
