Higher demand left crude oil prices steady with gains in Tuesday’s trading after they recovered from a near three-week low. Oklahoma energy stocks made gains for the day too.
West Texas Intermediate crude rose 97 cents or 1.3% to settle at $78.87 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished up 96 cents or 1% to finish at $85.46 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
March natural gas was unchanged at $2.68 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Most Oklahoma energy stocks recorded gains for the day including 4% jumps for Mammoth Energy and Williams Companies and 5% increases for Matrix Service and Vital Energy.
