Dairy farm gas conversion projects grow in South Dakota

.Victory Farms in Revillo will have two digesters and produce over 460 MMBtu of renewable natural gas per day

 

South Dakota is looking at dairy farms as a growing source of badly needed natural gas.

The state receives most of its natural gas for heating purposes from North Dakota’s oilfields but a waste recovery firm based in Wisconsin is progressing with projects to turn dairy farm methane into natural gas.
