New Mexico governor seeks President’s help in blocking nuclear waste storage site

 

The governor of New Mexico has demanded the Biden administration block a nuclear waste site in the southeast corner of her state.

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham came out swinging in a letter to President Biden, saying she wants his support in blocking Holtec International from storing up to 100,000 metric tons of spent nuclear fuel rods in a remote area near the Eddy-Lea county line reported the Carlsbad Current-Argus.
