Another railroad union has rejected a deal with major U.S. freight railroads, raising the specter that a nationwide rail strike remains a possibility in December.
The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen reported nearly 61% of its members voted against the five-year contract, becoming the second rail union to turn down the deal more than a month after President Biden had reportedly negotiated a strike settlement reported the Associated Press.
There remains the possibility that rail traffic throughout Oklahoma and the U.S. could halt in the next month or so.
