Oil production in Permian to hit record in November

The government’s predicting crude oil production in the Permian Basin of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico will hit a record production of 5.4 million barrels of oil a day in November.

The forecast from the U.S. Energy Information Administration said this week the production of 5.453 million barrels a day will be an increase of about 50,000 barrels a day.

Natural gas production from the Permian will increase too, moving from 20,930 million cubic feet a day in October to 21,057 million cubic feet a day in November. It is an increase of 127 thousand cubic feet a day in natural gas.

Oil and gas production in the Anadarko Basin is also expected to increase in November. Oil production will go from 425,000 barrels of oil a day in October to 431,000 thousand barrels a day for the month of November.

Natural gas production for the Anadarko, according to the EIA will increase from 6,708 million cubic feet a day in October to 6,709 million cubic feet a day the following month.Increased oil production is also forecast in the Appalachia, Bakken, Eagle Ford and Niobrara basins.

The EIA also reported that the number of DUCs or drilled but uncompleted wells will decline in all of the basins with the exception of the Haynesville and the Niobrara.
