Cleanup plan okayed for bad biofuels plant in Nebraska

The State of Nebraska has taken an initial step at cleaning up an abandoned biofuels plant that created millions of gallons of pesticide-contaminated wastewater stored in holding ponds.

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy recently approved a plan to dispose of the estimated 115 million gallons held at AltEn, the failed plant near Mead, Nebraska reported the Lincoln Journal Star.
