Solar fight underway in eastern Iowa’s corn country

An eastern county in Iowa is considering standing up and opposing large-scale solar operations, a sign that not everyone is racing to adopt renewable energy on a wholesale basis.

The consideration of putting severe restrictions on such energy production in Scott County arose after one farmer wanted to allow Alliant Energy to erect solar panels on his land reported the Quad-City Times.
