Growing worries that the global economy will only worsen because of China’s renewed COVID-19 restrictions sent crude oil prices slumping even more on Wednesday. Oklahoma energy prices ended up with a weak day of trading.
West Texas Intermediate crude for October delivery dropped $2.09 to $89.55 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global Brent crude for October delivery fell $2.82 to $96.49 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
October natural gas rose 9 cents to $9.13 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks had a weak day in trading with a few seeing gains of 3% while PHX Energy lost more than 7%.
