Another large wind project in New Mexico is in the making—one that would cover 230 square miles of state trust land and be the largest in the U.S.
The New Mexico public land commissioner signed about a dozen leases this week to clear the way for the project in Lincoln, Torrance and San Miguel counties, a project that would be the largest wind operation in the western hemisphere reported the Associated Press.
