Gas flaring lawsuit settled by Denver company

$100K for Protest Lawsuit Settlement in Oregon Approved

 

Colorado-based DCP Operating Company agreed to pay $150,000 in fines over its gas flaring in the Permian Basin.

The company also agreed as part of the settlement of a March 2021 lawsuit filed by environmental groups, to spend $500,000 to improve air quality in the region and cut down on gas flaring according to the Carlsbad Current-Argus.

The newspaper reported that the company also agreed to make improvements to a gas plant around Odessa, Texas.
