Crude oil prices on Wednesday jumped to a 13-week high because of increasing gasoline demand. They rose more than 2% while demand for gasoline keeps growing despite increasing prices at the pump.
West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery went up $2.70 or 2.3% to finish the day at $122.11 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for August delivery shot up 2.5% or $3.01 and settled at $123.58 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Just because crude prices jumped didn’t mean Oklahoma energy stocks did the same. They were mixed in trading, some gained and some lost. The biggest gain was more than 5% for Mammoth Energy while the biggest loss was more than 7% for NGL Energy Partners.
