Brief cool spell to hit Oklahoma then it’s back to hot weather!

A long-awaited cool front is expected to hit Oklahoma this weekend, bringing a brief respite from the summer time heat and temperatures into the 90s and lower 100s.

There might even be a chance of rain, although the best likelihood is in northwestern Oklahoma according to Oklahoma Climatologist Gary McManus.

Then—it’s back to the hot weather.

And that means a pretty good chance of really dry conditions expanding in the Panhandle and the western parts of the state.
