Texas-based XTO Energy Inc. recently filed completion reports on a series of 8 wells in Carter and Love Counties in southern Oklahoma. The company initially began drilling in the summer of 2018 and 2019 but didn’t complete the wells until 2021 and in 2022.

The four Carter County wells, all drilled on a single pad at 6 4S 3E, a site between the towns of Gene Autry and Dickson, had combined production of 256 barrels of oil a day. XTO, a subsidiary of ExxonMobil and based in Spring, Texas even located its own man camp near the drilling site. The wells were completed in October 2021 after they were spudded in December of 2018.
