OK Senators vote against billions in aid to US chip makers

A bill to provide $52 billion in U.S. subsidies for semiconductor chips manufacturing didn’t get the support this week of Oklahoma U.S. Sens. Jim Inhofe and James Lankford.

They were among 28 Senators who voted against the subsidy bill that was passed with the support of 68 senators.

The bill heads back to the House of Representatives where lawmakers will attempt to reach agreement on a compromise version.
