The first quarter earnings report by Devon Energy Corp. will be released in early May and no doubt a lot of investors and analysts will be watching closely to see if the energy company will be able to top what it did in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The company announced this week it intends to report the first-quarter 2022 results on Monday, May 2 after the close of U.S. financial markets. A conference call will be held the next day, Tuesday, May 3 at 10 a.m. Central time. Analysts and investors will be able to ask questions of Devon executives.
The earnings release and presentation for the first-quarter 2022 results will be available on the company’s website at www.devonenergy.com.
Devon is coming off a 2021 fourth quarter where it had $1.5 billion in net earnings or $2.23 per diluted share. The adjusted core earnings were $935 million or $1.39 a share. Operating cash flow was $1.6 billion for the quarter which was 173% more than the first quarter of 2021.
The cash flow tripled in 2021 and reached the highest level in Devon’s 50-year history, leading Rick Muncrief, president and CEO to call it a “breakout year” for Devon.
