Energy Transfer next to build Permian pipeline?

Pipeline Construction - PLH Group Inc

Leaders of Texas-based Energy Transfer LP suggest the firm will likely be the next company to build a pipeline to transport growing amounts of natural gas production from the Permian Basin to export hubs on the Gulf Coast.

It’s what Energy Transfer Co-Chief Executive Thomas Long told analysts during a recent conference call. He said it’s possible such a pipeline could be completed in two years of less once the company reached FID—final investment decision.

Energy Transfer is coming off a $7.2 billion acquisition late last year of Oklahoma City-based Enable Midstream.
