420,000 gallon oil, water spill cleaned up near Carlsbad

The site of an oil and water spill is cleaned up and remediated the State of New Mexico. The spill was reported in October 2021 about 5 miles east of Carlsbad. The State announced it was cleaned in February 2022.

 

The state of New Mexico says it’s completed cleanup from a 420,000 gallon spill of oil-contaminated water last fall at a site about 5 miles east of Carlsbad.

The spill was initially reported in October 2021 reported the Carlsbad Current-Argus.
