Crude oil slipped in Thursday’s trading

After two days of gains, crude oil prices slipped in both the U.S. and overseas but still remained closer to $90 a barrel then compared to a week earlier.

West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery dropped 74 cents to $86.61 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude, also for March delivery, fell 62 cents and settled at $89.34 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

As for March natural gas, it rose 24 cents to $4.28 per 1,000 cubic feet.

It proved to be another mixed day of trading for Oklahoma energy stocks. While LSB Industries lost 5%, NGL Energy Partners gained 6%.

 While some other energy stocks lost in Thursday’s trading, ConocoPhillips saw a 3% gain according to the Texas Energy Report.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 2.22 at 109.75 – change 2.06%

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 0.95 at 75.12 – change 1.28%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.04 at 17.48 – change 0.23%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.24 at 19.85 – change 1.22%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.07 at 16.60 – change 0.42%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.20 at 37.26 – change 0.53%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 0.77 at 85.82 – change 0.90%
