Odessa, Texas shaken by 2 earthquakes

Like Oklahoma, the state of Texas has discovered that its saltwater injection wells might be the cause of earthquakes.

Two quakes measuring 3.4 and 3.6 magnitude rattled Odessa, Texas Tuesday evening around 5 o’clock.

Texas regulators were in the process of asking a handful of oil companies to reduce their saltwater injections into disposal wells, under the belief that curtailment might decrease odds of more earthquakes.
