A lawsuit challenging the Biden administration’s vaccine mandate that could affect numerous small energy companies in Oklahoma is moving ahead in the courts.

Representative Kevin Hern (OK-01) recently met with Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, to discuss their lawsuit against the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate on American small businesses.

Rep. Hern previously announced his intent to pursue both legislative and legal actions against Biden’s executive order directing the Department of Labor to force the COVID-19 vaccine on businesses with 100 or more employees.

Rep. Hern voted against funding for the Department of Labor earlier this week, as he promised to do, to prevent the Department of Labor from implementing Biden’s executive order.

“President Joe Biden’s unconstitutional vaccine mandate is already causing hardship on millions of hardworking Americans facing the terrible decision to receive a vaccine they do not want or lose their livelihoods,” said Rep. Hern. “The federal government has no right to put this mandate on the shoulders of small businesses and their employees, which I intent to prove in court in partnership with the Job Creators Network.

He called the mandate an “undue burden” on businesses, especially small businesses, at a time when job creation is essential.

“Businesses are having a hard enough time hiring as it is; we should be empowering job creators to hire new staff and grow their businesses,” added the Tulsa congressman.

Alfredo Ortiz, President and CEO of the Job Creators Network, said, “The Job Creators Network appreciates Rep. Hern’s support of our forthcoming lawsuit against the Biden Administration for its unconstitutional vaccine mandate on American small businesses. Rep. Hern’s success as a small business owner gives him the unique perspective to understand this mandate’s threat to small businesses, which are already suffering from a historic labor shortage.”

He said the House needs more small business defenders like rep. Hern to “to defeat the war on small businesses being waged by the Biden Administration.”
