President Biden’s cancellation of the permit allowing construction of the Keystone XL pipeline is coming back to haunt him as developer TC Energy Corp announced it wants $15 billion in damages from the U.S. government for his actions.

The Canadian pipeline operator said on Friday it had filed a notice of intent to begin a legacy North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) claim under the United States-Mexico-Canada agreement reported Reuters.
