Thursday’s trading brought another gain in crude oil prices as they rose nearly $1.50 a barrel in the US and in Europe but the increase didn’t do much for Oklahoma energy stocks.
West Texas Intermediate crude for September delivery finished up $1.61 to finish the day at $71.91 a barrel.
Global benchmark Brent crude for September delivery rose $1.56 and ended the day at $73.79 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
The jump in oil for another day resulted in a few Oklahoma energy stocks following the same trail including Blueknight Energy Partners where it had an 8% gain for the day. However, for the most part, many Oklahoma energy stocks had losses in Thursday’s trading.
