Oklahoma congressman Markwayne Mullin helped the MidAmerica Industrial Park in Pryor celebrate its 60th anniversary on Friday.
In a note to his constituents, the Republican Representative pointed out that more than 80 businesses currently utilize the park, making it the 8th largest such industrial park in the world.
“Just last month, Canoo announced it was bringing 2,000 more jobs to the park. This is a big win not only for MidAmerica, but our entire state,” said Rep. Mullin.
“In government, it’s not our responsibility to create jobs. It’s our responsibility to create an environment where entrepreneurs can create jobs. MidAmerica is an example of the good things that can happen when government gets out of the way,” added the congressman.
