Colorado surveying methane emissions with flyovers above oil and gas sites

Aerial methane survey finds a fraction of point sources responsible for  more than a third of California's methane emissions

 

Colorado’s state health department recently conducted its first aerial survey of emissions from oil and gas sites in the state.

The survey was conducted over Front Range sites through the use of infrared sensors that map out methane plumes reported 9News KUSA in Denver.
