Crude oil prices experienced a stall in Thursday’s trading as both US and overseas prices dropped a few cents and Oklahoma energy stocks for the most part didn’t have the brightest of trading days.
West Texas Intermediate crude for July delivery dropped 2 cents to finish the day at $68.81 a barrel. Global benchmark Brent Crude closed down 4 cents and ended the day at $71.31 a barrel in ICE Futures Europe.
July natural gas fell 4 cents to $3.04 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Of the Oklahoma energy stocks, NGL Energy Partners LP recorded the largest gain at 12.59% on a 35 cent climb to $3.13.
PHX Minerals Inc. gained 9.24% on a 29 cent increase to $3.43.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. rose 18 cents for a 2.88% gain to $6.42.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP went up 5 cents for a 1.23% gain to $4.13.
Chesapeake Energy gained 0.11% on a 6 cent increase to $53.48.
Cimarex Energy Co. went up 72 cents to $71.67 for a gain of 1.01%.
Continental Resources Inc. lost 1.51% on a 54 cent fall to $35.30.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP fell 4 cents for a 1.68% loss to $2.34.
Devon Energy Corp gained 1.20% as shares increased 37 cents to settle at $31.17.
Enable Midstream Partners LP rose 5 cents for a 0.56% gain to $8.94.
Gulfport Energy Operating Corp. finished up 10 cents for a 0.16% gain to $63.60.
Helmerich & Payne Inc. closed at $33.03 with a 68 cent increase and a 2.10% gain.
LSB Industries, Inc. fell one cent to $6.51 for a loss of 0.15%.
Magellan Midstream Partners, LP gained 0.94% on a 48 cent rise to $51.62.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc rose 10 cents to settle at $4 for a 2.56% gain.
Matrix Service Co. gained 1.53% on a 17 cent increase to $11.31.
OGE Energy Corp. rose 20 cents for a 0.59% gain to $34.24.
ONE Gas Inc closed up 63 cents at $75.47 for a 0.84% gain.
ONEOK Inc. dropped 53 cents to $53.72 for a loss of 0.98%.
Ovintiv Inc closed up $1 for a 3.37% gain to $30.63.
SandRidge Energy Inc. finished with a 1 cent increase and a 0.25% gain to $6.10.
Unit Corporation dropped 82 cents to $15.68 for a loss of 4.97%.
Williams Companies Inc. finished with a 1.21% gain on a 33 cent increase to $27.62.
The Texas Energy Report showed other energy stocks had the same kind of day.
