The decision by electric vehicle manufacturer Canoo to locate a new manufacturing plant in northeast Oklahoma has Oklahoma Commerce Director Brent Kisling thinking it could be the first of others in the EV industry to locate in the state.
Kisling said others are interested in locating in Oklahoma and he’s been busy on the phone with other company representatives since Canoo announced last week its decision to locate in Pryor.
Kisling said the Canoo announcement shows the state is a serious contender for these developments and “at least gets us a toe in the water,” reported the Enid News Eagle.
